Pursuing our role in God’s story
God has been telling a story that involves us from the time He created the world and everything in it. We have been called to play a unique role in this specific time. At Merge. we are committed to being active in the story God is telling.
Trying to figure out this thing called love
Love is paramount in experiencing life to the fullest. In fact, Jesus broke down the greatest of all the commandments to this thing called love.
At Merge we are committed to showing love to the people that God places in our paths and burns into our hearts.
Realizing that playing it safe is risky
Playing it safe runs the risk of becoming comfortable. Being comfortable offers the illusion of fulfillment but can lead to ineffectiveness. At Merge we are committed to listening to the beatings of our hearts as we make a difference in the world we live in.
Applying what God is speaking through His Word
Not just a good book, but a God book. The Bible not only tells about the chapters of God’s story before us, but is a guiding light into the uncertainties of our current situations. At Merge we committed in
believing God’s Word is as relevant and life-changing today as it has ever been.
Growing in the “BIG 3” of community
Life as a Christian is divided between three distinct relationships. Our relationship with God, other believers and un-believers. Growing in these three relationships is part of experiencing life to the fullest.
At Merge we are committed to pursuing deeper levels of intimacy with God, deeper love for fellow believers, and investing in the lives of
un-believers in order to show them the love of God.
Showing grace because we have been shown grace
Grace is often desire and seldom given. We all want to be given another chance or to be forgiven for an offense we commit. However, when we have the opportunity to show grace to an offender, we often don't. At Merge we are committed to being a place where people can get a fresh start in life as they realize we have been shown the greatest grace through Jesus Christ.
People matter to God, so they matter to us
God loved us so much that He sent us Jesus. We take that to believe that means you matter to Him. If you matter to God, you matter to us. At M.C.C. we want you to know that you and your family belong… baggage and all. We accept you because God accepted us…baggage and all!
The church should be the light to the world
We believe that the church is not just what happens when people get together on Sunday’s. We think anytime we are involved in God becoming the hero of any situation, church happens. At M.C.C. we want to be people committed to reflecting the love of God and meeting the needs of those around us every day!
Life is more fulfilling in adventure and community
It is easy to get lost in days that are mundane and not listening to the beatings of your heart’s desire. At M.C.C. we want to challenge people in seeking the adventures that God is placing in their hearts while helping them grow in community with those that help in the journey of life.
It is never too late to try again… redo… start over
New Year’s resolutions are misleading. They act as
if you can only start fresh once a year. God offers second and third and fourth chances every second of every day. At M.C.C. we are a collection of people that continually “try again” when we make mistakes. For us this is a daily process!
We should leave this world better
than it was before we arrived
We have the opportunity to add value to the relationships we are involved in, the communities we live in and the world we are a part of. At M.C.C. we wish to look at each of lives opportunities as possibilities to intentionally making a difference in the world we live in.
Life with God starts today
There is a common misconception that life with God starts in the afterlife. That is not true. God is active in this world and is doing some amazing things. At The M.C.C. we want to help people see God at work in their lives and in the lives of those around them.
